Terra Vivente Art Studio

NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR JUNE, JULY AND AUGUST

CHOOSE FROM THREE LOCATIONS in ITALY,

THE NORTH, THE SOUTH AND SARDINIA

APPLY BY FEBRUARY 20

The Terra Vivente artist residency will be in three Italian locations in the summer of 2019.

June: Sardinia (in collaboration with IVYnode)

July: Val Taleggio (northern Italy)

August: Campania (southern Italy)

The residency is a small artist-run residency that fosters interaction between international artists and the community. Artists share apartments and studios, and have opportunities to become acquainted with local culture, explore the region and make work. Preference is given to projects that involve community interaction, collaboration, or ecological sustainability. It is partially

subsidized by the local community, offsetting the costs, which are kept as low as possible for

the artists. The residency fee paid by the artist covers accommodation, exhibition and its promotion, and some transportation. The organizers facilitate the artists’ needs for their projects and organize activities, events and day trips based on the group’s interests.

Since it started in 2013, Terra Vivente has hosted 33 artists from Canada, USA, India, Korea, Japan, Australia, UK, Belgium, and the Netherlands. If you would like to share the experience, go to the How to Apply page for the application form.
